Traveling to Italy next month. In previous trips, the last being in 2018, I would purchase an Italian SIM card from TIM Mobile for a few weeks. I now have an iPhone 12 with Spectrum mobile as my provider, and would like to know if will suffice as is without changing out the SIM card. I see the Spectrum rates for Italy are reasonable and was wondering about customer experiences using Spectrum mobile in Italy. Will only be using as GPS when walking and for restaurant reservations, and of course want to avoid the dreaded exorbitant roaming charges. Appreciate any advice.

Was just there from August 3-20th. I had no problem with the Spectrum mobile - I have an iPhone 14. My spouse has a little older phone and also Spectrum and it told her Welcome to Mexico 😬. Then no cellular. It ended up fine - we were always together and just used my phone is wifi wasn't handy.
