Special tour to see Duomo vault mosaics via construction site route

I've been online getting ready to purchase my FirenzeCard and clicked on the official Firenze Tourism site. I see that there is the opportunity to schedule a tour to see the Duomo vault mosaics up close during the construction via a special visitor's route.
Has anyone done this? I think it would be interesting, but don't know where I'd squeeze this into my already jammed itinerary on the only two days they offer this (11am English tour Fri/Sat). 10 people max 65Euros.

Hi -
I haven't done it but the mosaic restoration work is being done in the baptistry, not the duomo. They're separate structures. I'd also guess that your Firenze card wouldn't cover this tour but you could ask? [email protected]

The mosaics are truly stunning. I'm hoping one of these days soon they'll be able to remove the scaffolding so they can be admired in full from the ground (where we saw them from.)

Thank you. Sorry for the confusion. I wouldn't be attempting to use my FirenzeCard for the above mentioned special tour. I just happened to find the tour when I stumbled upon the tourism site. I don't know how I missed it on the Duomo's website.
I just purchased the Brunellschi Pass for the Duomo and selected my dome climb time. It's both exciting and stressful trying to ensure I get the must sees booked in advance when the timelines to reserve vary from immediate booking to months out.

Oh gosh, trying to get ALL the must-do's in when there's so much wonderful to see in Florence is near impossible, innit? :O)
