I wondered if you all could give me some names of restaurants in Rome. Mid-range prices if possible. I would really like to have a special meal our first night in Rome.

Anne, I'd recommend "Da Meo Patacca" in Trastevere. If you ask any cabbie they'll know where it is. The address is Piazza de'mercanti, 30 - 00153 Roma. I ate there with our daughter many years ago and enjoyed it so much I recommended it to my sis when she was there with her family. They have strolling musicians who will stop by your table and sing. The decor is rustic Italian and the food is good.
