Special meal in Venice. Where to eat?

Hi Everyone,

I'm going to be in Venice in late May and our first full day of exploring the city is both my girlfriend and mom's birthday. I'd like to take them somewhere nice with authentic local cuisine and a view, if possible.

I don't mind this being a some what upscale meal, but I'd like to keep the price below 100 euro per person.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks,
Josh

My husband and I had an occasion to celebrate and while wandering around we found Ristorante Rosa Rossa. We were very happy with the food, service, decor, etc. You can definitely keep your price below 100 euro per person with wine, we didn't spend 100 between the two of us. It doesn't have a view, but we were quite happy with the meal. (One thing I would recommend is to greet them and ask them for a table in Italian, even if you don't speak any other Italian. We were seated more quickly and in a better spot than another couple who came in around the same time.)
