spanish steps hotel

lLooking to book the Hotel Madrid Hotel San Carlo or the Hotel MODIGLIANI (they only have basic rooms left).
Have a reservation at Hotel Homs but the reviews are AWFUL. Which would you stay at for three nights in June for my my husband and I (40).

I personally I would stay out of that area. It is over run with tourists and same for the surround restaurants. Not a good area for exposure to Rome. I would widen my search to other areas. We always stay in the Termini area for convenience to transit but it is not very sexy and it is on the edge of tourist areas.

I stayed at Hotel Madrid and liked it. Clean rooms, great breakfast area on the rooftop, and nice staff. A bit pricey but I'd stay there again.
