Sorry I can't remember the name of the place.....but.... walk down the Spanish Steps, turn left, walk past a few shops and the first corner turn left again and you will walk right into the walkway into a great restaurant that has outdoor seating and indoor seating. We could eat at the buffet, or order from the menu. I was on a Rick Steves Tour and a priest was in my group - he knew of this place from his many visits to Rome.
It is pretty large and the food a prices were great.

Wow. Small world. We ate there, too, back in 2003 during the White Night (La Notte Bianca) in Rome. That was the same night when the power went out around 2 a.m. across the entire country and stayed out until mid-day. We enjoyed that restaurant as well. Have a great time.

Osteria Margutta in Via Margutta about three blocks north of the steps. Very good restaurant serving Roman food.

In the area of the Spanish Steps on Via Vittorio Veneto we had a delicious, inexpensive Italian meal at Ristorante Pizzeria Peperone. The pizza was large and tasty.

GINA Restaurant!! This is located at via San Sebastianello, 7/A. This is a street that runs just to the left of the steps as you face them. Walk up this short street, and the restaurant is on the left. Reservations are a must! The food is fabulous! They can even whip up a picnic basket complete with plates, cutlery, wine, etc. We had a picnic in the Borghese Park a couple of years ago. http://ginaroma.com/index_eng.shtml
