Hi everyone I will touring the southern Italy tour in sept and was wondering if any one had a suggestions on traveling back from Naples to Boston. There is no direct flights from Naples to Boston. . If I fly back from Rome how is the travel from Naples to back to Rome. Any recommendations on making this travel easy.
Thank you
Naples to Rome is an easy trip by train. See Trenitalia or Italo for schedule and prices.
It’s just over an hour by train from Naples to Rome Termini. Change trains there for the train to FCO. After this tour some years ago I was able to take an early morning train from Naples and got to FCO in good time for my late morning departure to Toronto (around 11.30 am as I recall). If your flight to Boston is any earlier, you may need to either overnight in Rome or take a flight from Naples to somewhere else in Europe and get a connection, for example Frankfurt, Zurich, or Milan.
Since you will have to make a connection somewhere why would you not fly Naples to Boston? There are numerous alternates on several different airlines. From our experience connections at Zurich and Munich are easy.
I am flying Naples to Boston in a few months with a layover at CDG. Using Delta/Air France.
We are on the tour in ealy October. There is a direct flight from Naples to Newark on United. I think it is the only direct flight back to the US. We will be on it.
