We are traveling from Rome to southern Italy in April and have 4 nights. Where is the best to stay to see the most safely. We would like to see Sorrento, Capri, Amalfi Coast, Pompei, Naples. What and how to see? Thanks!
With 4 nights, I'd take a train from Rome to Naples and then catch the Circumvesuvian train (located below Naples Central train station) towards Sorrento, stopping at Pompeii on the way. You can store luggage at!Pompeii. Then catch the same train line to Sorrento, either later that day or the next day. I'd then stay in Sorrento and see the Amalfi Coast by bus or boat. Day trips to Capri leave from Sorrento.
