South and North Italy

We'll be touring the Amalfi Coast and then Milan/Como with my parents in June. Is there any reason NOT to fly into Naples and out of Milan (as opposed to going in and out of Rome). We've already done Rome and Central Italy-- we do however plan on trying to get back to Venoce for a couple of days.

THanks,

The strategy you mentioned of flying into Napoli and home from Milano is called "open jaws" and it will eliminate time consuming backtracking. We use this method frequently and it is, generally, cheaper.

Buon viaggio,

If you're using free air miles and can only fly in/out of one city. Do a round trip to Milan then book a cheap flight between Milan and Naples.
