Sorry in advance for another car rental return question in Florence. I’ve been studying these forums for weeks and just had to post because I can’t find an answer.
I’m traveling into the Florence train station on Aug 2 to get a car from Avis on Borgo Ognissanti. Departing immediately to drive around the Tuscan wine country.
I’m leaving Aug 5 via the Florence train station. My plans and timing require a train station car rental pickup and drop off. Airport is not an option.
Getting out without violating a ZTL seems straightforward. I think.
I’ve found routes to return the car to the Europa garage without violating the ZTLs, but these routes start at one of the bridges crossing the Arno river. They don’t show how to get through the huge summer time ZTL south of those bridges (Zone O?) The only access to get to the aforementioned route is via Piazzale Porto Romana which violates the summertime ZTL south of River Arno (Zone O?)
Any advice?
