Sorrento - Which Location Should I Choose?

In October I will be in Sorrento for 4 nights and I’m trying to decide between 2 locations. They are both apartments and both have similar prices and amenities. The one at Corso Italia, 226 has a washing machine in the unit and the one at 3 Viale Montariello has a paid washer, presumably available to all apartments. I’m wondering if one location is better than the other to help me decide. I’ve never been to Sorrento so I’m clueless. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I often go to Google Earth, put in the exact address and then you can see in relation to the town where the apartment is and you can also drag the 'Little Man' down to the street level and look around, it's a really useful tool and it's free to use.

We were in Sorrento in 2018, and we stayed at the far end down by the little marina, off the street Via Sopra le Mura, it was a good location and we walked to the main places in Sorrento. It has a little washing machine on the terrace and the terrace was lovely.

If my memory is correct from our 2 week stay in 2023, the 2nd one will be slightly quieter. The main street it is near had beautiful orange trees as you walk west toward the old town. The 1st one is on the street that gives you slightly better access to the old town and it's near some beautiful lemon groves that you can wander through. Both are outside the prime tourist zone but still close to the train station. That's about as much info as I can remember. Neither are anywhere close to where we stayed.

All I can say is that I'm excited for you. That was one of my favourite all-time trips.

Both of these locations are a short walk from the pedestrian zone, the seawall, and quite a walk to the marina grande area. That's not a bad thing but both will be noisier with traffic. We used the laundromat that's like 2 short blocks from the second one so I wouldn't make that a deciding factor.

Alternatively, depending on how late in October you're traveling, I might wait to book anything. Prices will get really soft that last week and you'll have your pick of nice hotels for cheap.

Thanks everyone. We are arriving on October 15 for 4 nights. We do want an apartment and the ability to do laundry before setting off for the day or in the evening after returning.
