3 couples traveling in Sept., one night in Sorrento, we like to experience more of a smaller local atmosphere. Have a few drinks, a light food/simple italian. Don't mind taking a taxi outside typical tourist traps. Any suggestions?
We ate at Ristorante da Gigino and loved it. Returned for all three nights of our stay in Sorrento. It is a family owned restaurant. You can check the reviews at tripadvisor.com to see if it's a fit for you.
Don't know if you already went but we had dinner tonight at tavern alleges. What a blast. Great food (try the lemon risotto), great service, and a fun time. There is a guitarist and another guy who play and interact with the crowd. Small and kinda loud with the interaction but we loved it. And actually rated #1 on trip advisor. Hard to find but just a couple blocks from the main center.
Both Lanterna & Lantern 2(Due) are great choices with the same menu and about 3 blocks apart.
