Sorrento tours

Just arrived in Sorrento. Looks like we will get rain all but one day. So want to use that sunny day for a tour of Amalfi Coast but how? Private driver or small group tour or boat or ferry? Hearing different opinions. Any suggestions? Also how is Capri in the rain?

Just to comment on the Capri question, I wouldn't recommend that one in the rain. Most of the island's better activities are outside. Also, while rare, ferries can experience cancellations if the weather is really foul.

If you hadn't planned on doing so during your trip, you might jump the Circumvesuviana into Naples on your rainiest day? Along with the archeological museum, there will be other indoor attractions, such as some of her churches, there to take advantage of.

Pompeii would be do-able in the rain unless it was just pouring. You'd just need to watch your footing on slippery, uneven stone surfaces but that's going to be true anywhere in Italy that has cobblestones and the like.

Haven't taken it myself but the Mondo tour that Jeff recommended gets rave reviews; would be a great choice if they still have room for the two of you on short notice.
