Sorrento to Praino

I am staying in Sorrento for 5 nights , ischia 3, Capri 3 and ravello 2 late September into early October.
My plans for Sorrento are :
Day 1 Sorrento
Day 2 8 hour boat tour of almafi/poisitano
Day 3 cooking class /sorrento
Day 4 possibly a day trip to almafi/atrani/praino
Day 5 path of gods/poisitano

I was wondering if it’s worth it to go to Praino from Sorrento and go to ii pirata for dinner /sunset. How much would a private transfer be back to Sorrento after dinner ? Would it be better to go during the day and go to Marina di Praia beach then stay for dinner ?
Would it be better to just stay in Sorrento or do something else ?

Open to any recommendations !!

Hi: if it’s a view of the actual sunset (of the sun setting into the sea) you won’t get it at Il Pirata. It Pirata is in a cove where the sun passes over the adjacent headland during the early part of the afternoon. As far as the food served there, it’s not something I would go out of my way for. So no, IMO, it’s not worth it to travel from Sorrento to Praiano for dinner/sunset at Il Pirata. Now, dinner at other restaurants that offer the sunset view would be a different proposition but not at the cost in terms of transport and time for only an evening.

If you’re doing a boat tour of Amalfi and Positano you could easily get to Atrani on foot and have lunch at Le Palme (but not on closing day which I believe is Tuesday so better check on that).

The trailhead for the Path of the Gods is at Bomerano which is a sub-village (“frazione”) of Agerola. The path goes to Nocelle which is above Positano. From Positano you could travel by bus from Nocelle and do a bit of the path before reversing direction and returning to Positano.
