Staying in Sorrento and want to take a day to visit Pompeii. What's the easiest way to get to Pompeii to Sorrento?

The easiest and quickest way is the take the Circumvesuviana (train) from Sorrento to the Pompeii Scavi station. Travel time is 25-30 minutes as I recall, and ticket cost will be a few Euro each way. You can easily walk to the Pompeii site in a few minutes from the station.

Be sure to be vigilant for pickpockets on the train, as they likely will be there.
