Sorrento to Naples for early flight

We are staying in Sorrento for a few days then catching a flight to Palermo on 10/16 which is a Sunday. Our flight leaves around 11:25 from Naples Airport. I've been looking at bus schedules and possible other options to get an early morning connection to the Naples Airport. I guess you have to allow at least 2hours to get thru security which means we would have to be there at least by 9AM..Any ideas or suggestions?

We did the same last summer when we left Sorrento, but our flight was even earlier.

Our hotel sent a shuttle for us that took us directly to the airport. I don't know which service it was !

But these are in my file - sorrentoshuttle.com and sorrentocoastshuttle.com.

Ask your hotel or one of these !

There is also a bus operated by Curreri, which runs from Sorrento (station) to the airport.

The bus takes 90 min to get to the airport.
The earliest runs are at 6:30, 8:30 and 9:00 (arrives at NAP airport at 8:00, 10:00, 10:30 respectively).
The first 2 are early enough for your flight. The one departing at 9:00 might be a bit too tight.

You don't need to be at the airport 2 hours ahead of departure. You need to be at the airport at least one hour prior to your flight (you must have checked in our luggage and have the boarding pass in your hands 45 min prior to departure).

I'll (mildly) disagree with this as we hit the Naples airport for an earlier flight than the OP and they were in complete disarray. There was a big tour group from somewhere (Africa?) ahead of us, and none of them knew what they were doing. They didn't have all of the security stations open, it took forever for them to be processed, and I was really glad we'd gotten there early. Maybe it was just a bit of bad luck?

It depends on the airlines, but for intra-EU flights generally the check in closes 40 or 45 min prior to departure.

One hour only might make some people nervous, but 2 hours is a bit excessive. We are talking about Naples, an airport with only 6 million passengers a year, with an average 6 or 7 departures per hour, therefore with less traffic than Columbus, OH or Maui, HI.
