We were thinking of taking a boat from Sorrento to Naples to catch a flight. Any suggestions on this? How much does it cost and how fast/slow is it?

The train is only about 5 euros and is pretty frequent. Is there a particular reason why you want to "boat it" there?

Your most comfortable route would be the Curreri Viaggi bus right to the airport. 10E 1.5 hrs

Having done all three: fast ferry, Circumvesuviano train and the direct airport bus... that one is a no brainer -- the BUS Gerri mentioned!
You'd have to transfer to a taxi or a city bus from the ferry or the train. The airport is actually quite handy to the highway that the bus service takes.

We decided to hire a private driver who picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off at the airport. If I remember right it was about 60 or 80 Euros. The hotel arranged it.
