Going to ischia from Sorrento at the end of September and returning the 3rd of October. I only see one ferry (hydrofoil I guess) that runs at that time, and it’s the Alilauro ferry company. So if anyone can help me, it will be most appreciated. I have four questions:
Is Alilauro indeed the only ferry that runs? And any opinions about this ferry?
I’m actually going to Positano, but it appears the ischia->Positano ferry ends at the end of September; thus im going to Sorrento then bus it to positano. Does anyone know of another way to get to positano from ischia in October? [that’s not a $1000 charter boat!]
Is it necessary to buy tickets on the ferry in advance; or can I just buy them when in Sorrento?
And finally, if I need to buy them in advance, does anyone know of an English web site for Alilauro? The only one I get is in Italian. Or is there an agent that can be recommended where I could purchase tickets?
