Sorrento to FCO

Take the Circumvesuviana from Sorrento to Napoli Centrale (about an hour),
and then Freccia fast train from Napoli to Roma Termini; and then the Leonardo Express to FCO.

It would be smart to be in Rome the day before your departure to the US. To get from Sorrento requires a few moving parts that need to fit together. What time is it your flight home and the airline?

Wise words from Frank: you don't want to be coming from Sorrento with a morning, international flight out of FCO.

To echo the previous posters, budget about 4 hours of travel time from Sorrento to FCO, and you need to be at the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure for a US bound flight (or 75 min for a intra Europe flight).

So unless your flight is later in the afternoon, I would plan to spend the last night in Rome.

We were going to spend the night at an airport hotel.
