Sorrento to Capri Italy

We will be staying three nights in Sorrento with one full day in Capri. Any suggestions as to sights to see and places to eat on Capri?

Larry - Regarding Sorrento - The Old Town section is a lot of fun plus you might want to visit Villa Massa - just outside of town. It is the largest producer of Limoncello in the world , with over 16,000 lemon trees. And, you should Positively take the Sita bus from Sorrento to Positano(about 35 minutes ride) Sit on the right side of the bus and be amazed. Bus can be picked up in the main square. And to re-affirm - You can pick up the bus in the main square - I have personally done it 7 times!!!! To correct the erroneous info. of the other poster!!

The bus from Sorrento to the Amalfi coast should be boarded at the railway station. Because of the one way road system it does not pick up in Piazza Tasso.

Larry,

In Capri, take the bus or a taxi to Ana Capri. There you can ride the chair lift to the highest point on the island (I can't remember the name of the park). We thought it was a highlight of the day there. You can also hike it but that will take most of the day. The chair lift is fun because each seat only holds 1 person and you float above trees and gardens with beautiful views of the island. At the top you can have refreshments and there are many beautiful photo opportunities if the weather is clear.

I agree with Larry. The chairlift is a blast. I can't wait to do it again and the views from the cliffs above are unbelieveable. You can also hike to Villa Tiberius where the emperor Tiberious lived and liked to throw boys off the cliff. It's a long hike but worth it. Even though it's considered cheesy, it's also really fun to visit the blue grotto. I got a kick out of it.
