Sorrento to Anzio

I will be traveling Italy soon and I have to go from Sorrento to Anzio, which was the site of the first WW2 landing by the USA. With the train I have to go south to Naples and then go north to Rome and then another train back south to Anzio. I checked and a driver is very expensive. Even though, like Sorrento, Anzio is on the water, there is no ferry service. Any suggestions for a better way to travel? Thanks
