I am trying to decide between Sorrento or Palermo for 4 - 7 nights in early to mid-November (in Italy for 6 weeks and this is towards the end of my trip). I originally thought Palermo due to the Festival of St. Martin but I can't find any information on where to stay for the festivities so opening up my options. Any input would be appreciated. Three women traveling who like wine, food and sightseeing.

There is way more to do in Sicily than in the environs of Sorrento, especially if you go with the 7 night option. OTOH, if you go with 4, it’s hardly enough time to scratch the surface of Sicily.

there is plenty to do in palermo in 4 to 6 days. i spent 6 days in the city in the summer of 2021. in addition to the sights in the city itself, i went on day trips to monreale, cefalu and agrigento.
