Sorrento-Naples ferry baggage

There was no charge when we took this ferry a couple of years ago. I doubt there is one now. Buon viaggio!

No charges, and do not recall anyone checking what we brought on the ferry.

We paid 2 or 3 euros per bag on ferry from Amalfi to Salerno this past May

Really Christine H? We took the ferry from Salerno to Amalfi last year without being charged for our bags, so I am surprised to hear that. But we only had one piece of luggage each, plus a personal item (purses). Did you have extra bags?

Yes really
We each had 1 bag and a nap sack
We had to buy “tickets” for our baggage when we bought ferry tix at kiosk
They did check our tix when we boarded

We were also told we needed tix for our bags on the bus from Ravello to Amalfi by the bus driver but since we didn’t know that and didn’t have he let us board anyway

Maybe something new this year?

Oh, sorry Christine H, I didn't mean that as silly as it now sounds. I think that fee may be a change, or perhaps it's seasonal?
