Great location, quieter in the evening. Perfect for easy access to the ferry. Otherwise take the elevator if it's working or the little bus up to town. Don't try to walk UP to town, it can be a real killer. We visited some friends here, I don't know the room # but it's a split level room with an absolutely amazing terrace.

Pros & cons to being down by the marina in Sorrento vs. up by the town. In town, while it's nice and it's near shopping and tons of great restaurants, there is not much of a view. If that's what you desire, the marina is for you.

I stayed at Marina Piccola 73 on my one trip to Sorrento. Since it was my only visit there, I cannot speak about any other place, but I cannot imagine enjoying an accommodation more. Of course, I like water and having a very tall window opening onto a view of the Bay of Naples was outstanding.
I don't recall the room number, but we were in a superior room with 2 twins (could be turned into a double... in fact, if I recall, they did leave it in that configuration, which caused a little dismay from my adult daughter, with whom I was traveling, but worked out OKAY). The balcony window was wonderful,, We slept with it open both nights were were there.

I would not hesitate to stay should I travel back to Sorrento.

Keep in mind there are opening and closing hours for the town lift elevator, so you'll need different traveling options from town to marina if you're up there into the evening.
We took the steps (130, if I recall) once. Took a cab to and from the Marina Piccola 73.

Enjoy your visit.

March.
Price was VERY good due to the season, but looking at highest season of that year, seemed like a reasonable price to pay for a resort area that seems to draw a lot of Italy to its "beaches" every August.

We stayed there last August and couldn’t think of a better place. We like staying near the waters edge and watching the boats come and go from the marina. The breakfast was great with lots of homemade goodies. The rooms well appointed. I can’t remember what room # we were in but ask for a middle room on the same level as the terrace/breakfast area is on.
