Sorrento: Hotels with private beach

The luxury hotels on the cliffside have swimming platforms (like the 5 in the Ambasciatori group.) There are virtually no sand beaches in Sorrento except the gritty public one within smelling distance of the marina port.

These tend to be the largest and most expensive in Sorrento. The swimming platform and bar are accessed by elevator. We stayed at the Ambasciatori, partly because cheaper options were sold out. Rooms with no view or no balcony are cheaper. Good air conditioning.

The Bellevue Syrene Hotel has a swim platform in a picturesque spot. We stayed there last year and they have refreshments in the lobby for guests during the day and gorgeous sunset views from the outdoor terrace restaurant. It was an expensive hotel but definitely worth it!
