Sorrento Guide

Has anyone heard of or done a tour with Giuseppe De Toro of Sorrento Top Car? I contacted one of the RS Guidebook recommendations as well as Top Car. The RS recommendation for a day tour to Pompeii and Herculaneum was 820 Euros all-in while this guy is 260 Euros including car and driver, not incl. admission.

You know, depending on what you're comfortable with, you could just take the Circumvesuviana commuter train--the station is right in Sorrento, top level--to the Pompei Scavi entrance/exit. Routinely, there are guides hawking you at the entrance. Use one of them--some of them are pretty good & you shouldn't have to pay more than 25 Euro--or do advance research OR do the RS podcast, which is what we did. I believe Ercolano is along the same train line if you're interested, but Pompei is the big enchilada.

You'd save yourself at least a couple hundred Euro to spend on good meals in Sorrento, which in my opinion has the best food on the Amalfi Coast & environs.
