For a family of 6 with three days in Sorrento. Any suggestions for places to stay near the center? Two of our 4 kids are under 8 & 7 and the older two are 15 and 13. Thanks!!

I didn't quite stay in the center (last year), though, when I was researching, there were plenty of houses to be found there. I settled on a house that was in Sant'Agnello, which is one stop north of the center on the Circumvesuviana line. It is a 15 min walk from there to the center - which I suppose is walkable by 7 year old, but it also depends on how much walking they are used to. I have to warn you though: seeing Italy means a lot of walking!
The reason I picked Sant'Agnello is because of the bang-for-the-buck calculation that I did. The houses there were cheaper, and there seemed to be enough eating places in the vicinity. Looking back, I absolutely made the right choice. And I lucked out because we were on the top floor of a three story building, with a terrace that gave us a fantastic view of Mt. Vesuvius.
