Sorrento/Florence/Cinque Terre - non tourist restaurants

Hello!

Traveling to Sorrento, Florence and Cinque Terre in mid September. We are interested in dining options that would be considered “non-tourist“ and more of a local/genuine feel.

Would appreciate any suggestions! We’re looking for reasonably priced restaurants that provide value along with excellent local cuisine.

I look forward to hearing from you!

The thing is, if the restaurant has a pulse, then social media is all over it. You're more likely to encounter more locals than tourists the later you dine, but nothing is guaranteed.

My own observation, more locals than tourists, tend to make up the lunch / brunch hour quorum.

Thanks for your response. Any specific recommendations? Would be interested in visiting some of the more local establishments.

Not a recommendation, it's only to say that I have enjoyed my visits to Zeb, in Florence.

I ate at Officina Wine Bar 82 in Sorrento with some fellow travelers in June. It was based on their positive recommendations from their visit a day before. I was pleasantly surprised! The owner, Giacomo and his Mama chef, were very accommodating. The food (papas and meat bites) and drinks were fantastic! They were other food offerings, but that is what we had. Viale Nizza 17, just off of Corso Italia. Read the customer reviews.

Thank you for the recommendation of Wine bar 82. We went last night and had an absolutely fantastic time! Giacomo and his mama provided unbelievable hospitality - wine and mini meat plates, OUTSTANDING!! we were lucky to meet some folks who really added to the party vibe - SUCH FUN!! Was like a mini party where everybody got into swing of things singing/dancing kinda like a party. Can’t say enough good things about this place - if you can get there while in Sorrento do not miss it!! Barbara
