Sorrento and Positano lodging recommendations for 3 couples in April

Can anyone recommend b&b or similar lodgings for 3 nights in Sorrento and 2-3 nights in Positano for 3 couples? We are looking for something with terrace for gathering and within walking distance to restaurants and easy public transportation.

kmbriotti, it would help if you'd provide an idea of what your budget is? It's not a "B&B" but we enjoyed Hotel Anitche Mura in Sorrento very much; it has a pleasant outdoor areas and a bar for gathering, is just steps from Piazza Tasso, and includes a really good breakfast in the tariff but you'd need to check rates to see if those work for you.

Yes, we prefer water view and terrace for outside gathering with a budget of under $250 per couple per night.

We enjoyed the Savoia Hotel in Positano. We stayed 3 nights. It has lovely views, great breakfast, terraces, 5 min. walk to public transportation, restaurants and shopping. Easy access with luggage. Sounds like this would meet your budget requirements as well! Take a look at Booking.com for the excellent reviews.

We stayed at Villa La Terrazza in Sorrento 5 years ago. It is located on the cliff above the marina where the cruise ships moor and short walk to town center. You can rent the whole villa but it has suites available separately. The terrace is immense, if I recall correctly, 2000 sq. Ft. I see that it is listed on Booking.com but we rented our room directly from the owner, Andrea. As we checked in, there was an American couple leaving that had just celebrated their marriage on the terrace with friends and family in attendance. We would stay there again in a heartbeat if we ever are fortunate to return to Sorrento.

We stayed at Hotel Plaza, has a rooftop infinity pool with an incredible, unobstructed view of the Bay of Naples. They had a jazz sax player there one night..I didn't want to leave. Our room with an unbelievable breakfast buffet was 200 E/night and there were 2 couples. Around the corner from Piazza Tassa, but the heavy windows/balcony doors were sound proof . The pizza place across the street (I forgot the name) had take away pizza for 8 E and we sat on on the roof one evening watching the sunset eating authentic Napolean pizza. It was fabulous!

We are interested in Hotel Palazzo Guardati in Sorrento. Has anyone stayed at this hotel who is willing to give thoughts/opinions?
