We will be staying here in June, and I am interested in knowing if anyone has booked the bus tours to Amalfi Coast, Pompeii/Vesuvius, and/or Capri that are advertised by the Hotel's website. We are thinking of doing all three! Chris

The tours offered are those shown on this tour company's site which will give you a bit more detail. We take one of them from time to time, the last one the tour to Paestum which was very good. Although it is possible and usually cheaper to DIY, sometimes it is nice to sit back and let others take the strain. Especially in the season when the local buses and trains are often hot and overcrowded. The one to the Amalfi Coast is the most popular but be aware that because of the narrow streets it does not go down into the town of Positano but stops at the top for photos. Of them all I would say the one to Capri adds little value and would be, with a little bit of homework beforehand, the easiest to do yourself. You will notice that the ones to the archaeological sites include an authorised guide which saves you the trouble of organising one yourself http://www.goldentours.it/en/daily_excursions.php If you don't want to pay for a meal at the lunch stops load up with provisions from Bar Rita or the Deco' supermarket for a picnic. Both are on Corso Italia in the stretch between Piazza Tasso and the railway station in Sorrento.
