I'm looking for somewhere to spend two nights in the area around Pompei, Naples, and Rome that my teen Grandson might enjoy. I first thought of a beach somewhere between Rome and Naples. However, we will be coming off 3 nights in Pompei where I plan to be at the Archeological sites as soon as they open then cool off at the beach in the afternoons.
I know it is too early for A Serie, but would there be any friendlies around Napoli or Benevento in late July and if so, how would I gain entry? Other than calcio I'm stumped for ideas for a 15-year-old.
I saw Benevento by chance and it actually looks interesting. I looked it up and saw there is an ancient Roman theater, the Arch of Trajan, a castle, witches, and some potentially interesting day trips nearby. My Grandson is interested in Roman ruins, Greek and Roman myths, and interesting architecture so maybe?
After we'll have 3 nights in Rome and 3 in Athens so he'll see a lot of things relating to Roman ruins, Greek and Roman myths, and interesting architecture, so if anyone has ideas that would be different, that would be wonderful!
