Something to add after Galleria Doria Pamphilj

Hello all, We will be going to Galleria Doria Pamphilj tomorrow and would love to add one more thing to do in the afternoon. It’s supposed to be cloudy and with some rain. Any lesser know places we should consider? Also, any suggestions for a good lunch spot near the Galleria? We’re planning on a big dinner at our favorite restaurant, but would love ideas for places with good salads or lighter fare. Thanks!

Glad you're going to the Galleria Doria Pamphilj. I wouldn't consider the Pantheon a lesser known place, but it is very close. How about checking out Santa Maria Sopra Minerva? It has a decent Michelangelo statue of the Risen Christ.

It's been too long since I've been there to make restaurant suggestions.

I went to the Galleria Doria Pamphilj and enjoyed it very much. If you have the RS Rome guide book check out the section of churches that are near by. One other poster told you about one church which is also very worthwhile seeing. There is a French church nearby that is also worth seeing and it is the San Luigi de Francesi which has the Caravaggio painting inside the church.

The two churches are very close by the Galleria Doria Pamphilj. There may be more churches near there.

Thank you all. We loved Galleria Doria-Pamphilj. We also visited Santa Maria Sopra Minerva and the Church of St. Louis of the French. They were all well worth visiting. So nice to see so many Caravaggio paintings in a day. The day turned out to be very sunny and warm. Ended up with an early appertivo for lunch.
