Is there any way to get sold out third ring colosseum tickets (e.g. via an outside tour group)? And what about sold out last supper tickets (which tour would you recommend if I really just want to see last supper and not much else)?

For Leonardo's Last Supper you can go to a broker site - I use Select Italy - and buy only the admission ticket for that (no tour of anything else). There is a price markup but I think it's still worth it, and it's a lot less than a tour you don't want to take.

For the colosseum, once the tours are sold out there is nothing you can do. You can check with some of the private companies but they charge a lot. If they have slots available that would be the only way to get to see the underground tour.

For the Last Supper, have you also tried calling? They may have some spots available by phone that are not reflected online (assuming that sales are underway for the period of your visit).

For the Last Supper, I bought them when we were there last month using this site. Tickets were emailed right to us.
