Was wondering if you could take chips etc on a plane. And a friend asked about taking a bottle of chezwhiz on a plane and i told her no as it is over 3 oz... was I right?

Yes you were right to tell your friend that the liquid is out. However, you can pack your own, non-liquid or gel-type, snacks for the plane. Chips are fine.

You can only bring one 1-quart bag with liquids inside, each container no more than 3 ounces, though security. But once you're through security, you can buy drinks or liquid snacks in any size they sell in the airport and bring that on the plane.

Those concourse gift shops are making a good profit on all those liquids we can no longer bring from home!!!
