Smartphone app for Rome buses

Has anyone used the new smartphone app (myCicero) to purchase bus tickets in Rome? Does the app work well? Any glitches? It has only been available since late May 2015 (http://www.wantedinrome.com/news/rome-bus-ticket-app-for-smartphones/). I would like to get a monthly pass (35 euros) since I will be there an extended period, although you can also buy single tickets with the app.

Maybe I'm just old school, but it sounds like more trouble than it's worth, given that you can buy as many bus tickets as you want in soooo many places.

Just buy the tickets at the tabacchi stands. It is so easy.
