small hotel rooms in Venice, Fir, Roma

I am traveling with my adult son for 3 weeks in venice, Florence and Rome. Plan on staying about a week in each city and daytripping. Question:

Looked for small hotels with small rooms, I will need 2 rooms. .Other times I have been to Italy have stayed in charming llitle hotels, a llittle above a hostel but they were great. I don't have that info now and don't remember how I searched to find them. HELP

In Venice I would like to stay in the Rialto area, Florence around the Duomo, Rome not far from Termini.

Also, how do I go about finding all the posts I have made or responded to? I seem to go around and around before I find my name There must be a simpler way.

Thanks to everyone who has given me a hand here. I do appreciate it.

To find posts you have participated in, click on your name at the top right after you signed in and it will take you a page that has the option of clicking on posts you have participated in. To find hotels, I like to look through Rick's guidebooks (he lists hotels by areas so that should help you since you have specific areas in mind) and then check them out against TA and other sites.

Since you are planning to stay a week in each city, why not consider renting an apartment instead. VRBO, Airbnb, FlipKey are good sites to search it out.

An apartment sounds like a good idea.

Question: Why Termini in Rome instead of the Piazza Navona/Pantheon or other more central area?

www.vrbo.com and www.Booking.com will be your friends in finding rooms by neighborhood, price, and any other criteria you need. Apartments are great for your situation: 2 bedrooms, maybe even 2 bathrooms, kitchen for snacks, coffee, breakfast, and room to relax that is not a bed. We really liked Serafini Apt in Firenze. Lots of space, 15 minutes walk from the Duomo. In Venezia we found this apartment very spacious when we traveled with friends. It is 3 bedrooms, but he also has a 2 bedroom one. It is very close to San Marco and not far from the Rialto. Convenient to the vaporetto.

Rome - try Pantheon Apartment. It is only one bedroom but the living room is huge with a sofa bed and it is very convenient to transportation just off Largo Argentina and Campo dei Fiori.

If you're working with a budget in mind, you'll get more helpful responses if you say what your range is in euros per night for each room. Those are the three most expensive cities to stay in, esp. Venice.

That said, have you considered Pensione Guerrato in Venice? It's a big RS favorite and it's in the Rialto area.

Happy travels.
