We've got a very early flight out of Leonardo.
Rather than getting a hotel near the airport, we were considering sleeping in the airport before the flight. However, we heard rumor that this was not allowed anymore.
Can anyone confirm or definitively deny this rumor?
Roxanne - Regrettably, I'm guessing few participants on this board sleep in airports any more. You might also try asking on Lonelyplanet.com's Thorn Tree forum - either the Italy branch or the Europe on a Shoestring branch. I'm certain you'll get some responses there.
Also there's the Sleepinginairports.com website which is devoted to reporting on conditions for sleeping in airports. Just to confirm that there's a website for everything.
