My husbands sleep apnea machine was left on the bus from Rome airport to Termini station. We have called the bus company who say they didnt find it. We are travelling through Italy for 3 weeks and he is in desperate need of one. Do you know where to buy or rent one? We are in Rome till Friday. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I'd go to the closest pharmacy to your hotel and ask for their help. We've always found the pharmacists are extremely knowledgeable and helpful with even the most unusual medical questions. I'm sure they'll know where you can get a replacement machine.

Or, telephone your supplier in the States and see if they can overnight a new one to you, set to your husband's prescription, plus the accompanying mask and tube. Even "overnight" it will take a few days but you're in one place till Friday. Also, find out if UPS is commonly used in Rome. It's not in France. When I needed something sent over-night to an address in the countryside, I asked the sender to use DHL, which is a German company.
