With all due respect...I think blowing a lot of money for skydiving - and similar splurges - while on a trip to Europe is foolish. Why?
1. It's going to cost you a lot more to do that there than it would someplace in the USA. The USA has a plethora of such places, there's plenty of competition. For small airports, small airplanes, etc., - the kind of stuff needed for skydiving or similar activities - the US has a rich, deep infrastructure that is unlike anyplace else in the world. In Europe, anything that involves flying is much more expensive and you will find only a tiny fraction of choices compared to what you can probably find within 15 minutes to an hour from your home. 2) The scenery and the experience are more or less the same - at least inso far as most people are able to perceive it. Sure, Europe has some nice scenery. So does the US of A. And from the air, it's all going to be pretty much the same - especially for someone who has never done that before (especially if the experience is basically falling for a few minutes - trust me, THAT is what you will notice, not the red-tiled roofs of a suburb of Milan). 3) While you're on a trip to Europe, the commodity that is most limited is your time. You can drive 30 minutes from your home and do very exciting skydiving any sunny day. But you probably only have a very few days available to spend in Europe. My advice is to spend them on things that you can only do in Europe (or that are much better when done in Europe). Jumping out of an airplane is just as good near Minneapolis as is near Milan. But you'll have better museums and cathedrals and pasta in Milan.

The poster isn't from the USA. He's from Bangalore (population 8.5 million), which is in India.

Dilip,

I don't have any information on sky diving in Milan, but if your trip will include a visit to Switzerland, you shouldn't have any trouble finding sky diving or paragliding opportunities in the Berner Oberland (near Interlaken).
