In one of Rick's articles about changes to Italy, he mentioned how you can skip lines for Vatican by buying those tickets from tourist information office. You can also reserve tickets online to do that and it'd cost the same to buy it from TI office as online, but it seems like it'd give you more flexibility by going to the TI office. My question is when you buy those tickets at the TI line, can you skip the line right then and there or are those tickets for a later time that day?
Since they cost the same I would imagine that they are timed tickets just like the ones from online. You probably need to pick a time that you want to visit and then you need to be there at that time. If late the guards have the right to make you wait in the regular line. I haven't bought Vatican museum tickets at a TI booth before because it's always been easier just to book online and not worry about finding a TI or if they had the time I wanted. Donna
