We could not purchase the morning tour and we cannot go in the afternoon....so we purchased skip the line tickets directly through the Vatican. Where does this leave us? Are we left to go on our own....do we really get in faster?

If you are not on a guided tour your options are go on your own or rent an audio guide. Yes, you really do get to bypass the ticket line which can be hours long.

Thanks, Donna. My husband been through this tour and we could do the audio. The issue is the line. We could not believe how faster the morning tour through the Vatican were booked!
