OK, naive question. If I buy my ticket for the Accedemia on line before we leave for Florence, does that mean I get to "skip the line" when we go in? Since I will have the voucher, and exchange it for entry at my reserved time, I don't have to wait in line to buy the ticket- is that what skip the line means???
Ellen, If you purchase your ticket online, you won't have to wait in the line for buying tickets. However, there may be another queue for those that have tickets purchased online, so you may still have a short wait to enter the Museum. Happy travels!
Ken, Thanks. I've been to Italy a bunch of times, but rarely do we go to museums. I thought buying the ticket now would be considered "skip the line", but I just wanted to make sure.
There is a line for online tickets and Firenze card holders. I waited in line for 10 minutes. These people have priority, and the wait is not that long at all.
For what it's worth we got there about 10 min's before they opened, without tics, and had only 4/5 people in line ahead of us. This was on a Sat morning too.
