Skiing in December in Cervinia, Italy

Hello, We are planning a ski trip the first two weeks of December to Cervinia and Courmaeur Italy. Has anyone been there recently? We are having a hard time finding current snow reports and even info on if the slopes are open at these two locations. I would appreciate any feedback anyone has.
Thank you!

Snow is a bit late this year. This week is seeing quite a bit of snowfall in the NW Alps, but I am not sure how much will reach Italy.

Cervinia opens for the season on Friday, on a fairly limited basis (only a few runs above Plan Maison and Lago Cime Bianche according to this post in Italian: https://www.cervinia.it/fr/news/lo-sci-riparte-a-cervinia-venerdi-25-novembre-riaprono-le-piste-del-versante-italiano-con-nuovi-impianti-tanto-divertimento-e-ski-test-gratuiti). That's why there is no report, check this weekend maybe, once it's open? I did check for Zermatt just across the ridge and they're only reporting about 1 foot in the highest areas...

Likewise, Courmayeur opens on 2 Dec so no info yet... You'll have to cross your fingers!

Thank you for the link! It confirms that current snow conditions are, ummm... marginal. Nothing unexpected for late November either!

We were in Castelrotto, Dolomites for 3 nights 22 to 24 October shoulder season and it was ‘closing down’ for 5 or 6 weeks until the ski season started and I believe that this is typical for the Dolomites. This meant that the restaurants, bars etc were closing and we only found 1 restaurant open for our last night. They were hoping for better snow than the the previous year. Yes it on the other side of Italy but check on status.
