SITA bus tix - cash or credit

A day ahead of our day trip from Florence, I will buy 2 sets of Siena bus tickets, SITA 131R, corso rapido, andare e ritorno. Can I use a credit card to pay for these tickets or is it cash only? Also, at the SITA station, do I buy these at a staffed ticket window or from a ticket machine?

THANK YOU to all who have posted so many details on the Florence-Siena bus trip. From searching this site I learned how to find the bus stations, what types of tickets to buy, where to get off (and back on) the bus, best times to go, where to sit on the bus, and many other very helpful tidbits. All this, plus RS guidebooks, are making the Siena visit a "no brainer"!

I don't have the real answer, but most bus tickets in Italy are bought at newsstands, even inside bricks and mortar stations. I would be ready with cash. Here in the US, cash-starved governments also outsource jobs that used to be municipal employees!

Susan, there's a waiting room inside the bus station where the ticket windows are. Sorry, I can't help you with the cc info but I always use cash for anything and everything I can. I'm not positive but I seem to recall that the tickets to Siena are €7 per person.
Are there 2 or more of you? If so, it's really nice to have one of you waiting to put any larger bags under the bus and the other to get on the bus to quickly claim seats for you.

Darcy - very good to know about the waiting room & ticket booth - thanks! (no luggage to worry about).
