Sita bus 365 through Chianti schedule

I read about a restaurant, da Padellina, in Strada Chianti that is supposed to have the best bistecca alla fiorentina. I thought it would be a nice 35 minute bus ride into the country for a nice lunch but have been unable to find the schedule. This Sita web site sends me to app that does not work on my computer for schedule.

  1. Is this restaurant worth the trip?
  2. Is Google maps correct that it is approximately 35-40 minutes from the bus station near Santa Maria Novella train station?
  3. Can anyone tell me how to get a bus schedule here in the USA?
  4. Will this bus run less frequently on Sat. and Sun?

Thanks for any help you can give here.

LUN-VEN from Monday to Friday
SAB Saturday
FESTIVO Sunday and festivities

As buses are mostly used by commuters and school pupils, service on Sunday is greatly reduced. It looks that there is a nice bus leaving Florence on Sunday at [edited] 12.05pm, just in time for lunch, but if you miss the return at 2.35pm (not so much time to have lunch) the only other option is at 7.15pm.

Without a car or a better bus schedule, I would not go out into the countryside for lunch, but I don't know that particular restaurant. If you want a restaurant in Florence with a beautiful bistecca, Hostaria da Ganino near the Duomo might be an alternative.

Thanks for the link to the bus schedule. That is very helpful. I will study it to see what options might work if we choose to do this. I would still like to hear from anyone who has eaten at this restaurant. Perhaps I should post another thread with it's name as title.
