So the conclave of Cardinals is "locked in" the Sistine Chapel. What accommodations are provided for meals, housing and bathroom necessities ?
I can't seem to find actual floor plans of the building besides the pictures of the interior of the Chapel itself.
The Sistine Chapel is used for two sessions of voting each day the conclave is in session. The cardinals leave for breaks and meals, and sleep in accommodations nearby - no cots in the Chapel. If you are interested in conclave logistics and details, the National Catholic Reporter is an American weekly that covered the conclave in depth, their archives can be easily searched.
A couple of other good sources online are Zenit, which is a new service from Rome, and the blog Whispers in the Loggia. The cardinals lived in a separate building, Domus Santa Marta, in which visiting clergy and some Vatican employees live at other times (and where Pope Francis has chosen to continue living).
