Hi! I purchased 3 pm entrance tickets to the vatican museum "skip the line" . I only care to see the sistine chapel but i heard they cut off the line at 4 pm. What time should arrive at the museum to make the line for security? i'm going Oct 2023. Someone kindly advise. Thanks

2:30 should be enough for security. All tickets purchased online are "skip the line", so there isn't a definite answer. An October afternoon should be quieter, if I were you I'd be in line for security at 2:30. Not later.
Where did you "hear" that they cut off the entrance line at 4 pm even for those who already have a ticket? And why should that prevent you from "running" to the Chapel at 3 and get there asap? Once you are in, you are in.

The last admission to the sistine is 4 pm. Everyone has to depart the building by 5:30 pm. Read on a few sites.

The Sistine Chapel is the last room of the Vatican Museums and afaik 4 pm is the last admission to the Museums, not to the Chapel.
