Hi Travelers.
How difficult is it to get from Densenzano train station to Assisi train station. We are travelling Sept. 2019. We understand that we will may need to change trains in Verona and Bologna and Florence? Some of the train schedules in certain legs of this trip seem restricted to a few times a day. Just wondering if I have that right and what the simplistic travel solution might be.

Yup! Be prepared for a long day. There’s no simple way to make this journey without taking 3 or 4 trains. And what might be most annoying is the wait time between trains, close to 2 1/2 hours on a 6 1/2 hour trip. To break up the monotony, perhaps spend a night in Florence or Bologna?

You can check the current schedule now at https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html
Since most regional trains after June 8 are not on the schedule yet, check a date before then. Schedules usually don't change a whole lot, if at all.
