Single room in Sorrento

I'm traveling as a single in Sept. 2017. Although Rick doesn't give Hotel Nice a great recommendation, it has a very nice single rate. What I've looked at otherwise have no single rooms or no price reduction for a single in a double. I'd like to keep the cost to €60/night with included breakfast and wifi. The shared room hostel is NOT an option. I'm 65 and I SNORE.

I don't need to stay in Sorrento. I just want to travel around the Amalfi coast for about 5 days.

BTW: I'm a very savvy traveler. This is trip #33 to Europe.
Any ideas?

I stayed there several years ago, it was a smelly dump with helpless front desk staff. But that was 3 or 4 years ago.

Dutch,

Rather than stay in a "a smelly dump with helpless front desk staff" you might have a look at Hotel Desiree in Sorrento. It's an older hotel but very comfortable, and the prices should be close to the amount you mentioned. It's also fairly large so if you had a room on one of the lower levels, the noise of snoring may not bother those in other rooms.

If you want to travel around the Amalfi coast, consider staying in Salerno instead of Sorrento. It's cheaper and there are buses and ferries to the AC towns. (that's what I'm doing :-)
