I have been trying to book multiple hotels in Italy directly from their websites. When I 'book' it routes me to simplebooking.it. Then it says 'this site can't be reached'. Ug. I saw there was another post about this on this forum but no resolution. Anybody else having this issue?

You might just try Booking.com
If a hotel is using simple booking.it they are using a “ booking engine” which is what Booking.com basically is.
Your booking is still handled by the hotel
I have no problem using booking.com and often get better rates there as I am a Genius Level whatever.
Be sure to check from your phone as well, they often have Mobile Only rates for even better savings
You can trust reviews on booking.comm as only folks who have at stayed at the property can submit. You can also filter reviews.

Can you name a hotel where this is occurring? I would like to see what is going one. I have looked at simple booking.it within the past few days and had no problems.

I just booked a hotel in Siena using simple booking.it, no issues at all. Maybe try clearing cookies, and/or using a different device.
I have to disagree a bit with ChristineH here. Although simplebooking.it is a 3d party site, it is chosen by the hotel to handle their bookings, and it is considered by them a “direct” booking, with any benefits that come with that. In this case it is a free “welcome drink”. The confirmation email came from the hotel, not from simplebooking . If any issues arise, like I need to change dates, etc., I deal with the hotel directly, using the hotel’s email address. I do not have to go through simple booking.it. Had I made the reservation through booking.com I would have to make any changes or sort out any issues through them, not directly with the hotel.

I was just trying to give OP an alternative if they couldn't get simple booking to work and were in a hurry to get something booked. Clearing the browser is great advice.
Seems almost ever hotel is on booking.com now
I do book with the actual hotel at times. Just depends. I also like having my bookings in one place.

This has been such a pain! Multiple hotel sites would not work on my PC but I could book from my phone.
This site https://www.relaisimiracoli.it/ will not let me enter dates or book on any device. I've cleared cache and cookies. Tried different browsers. Tried multiple PCs and phone. Curious to know if this is an issue with their site or if it's just my issue. Whenever I'm able to call them, the time difference is a hinderance. I'm about to give up and book via booking.com even though I'm really against doing that. Thanks for your time and listening to my rant.

rosigreen, I just used your link and was able to enter dates for a potential 2 night October stay and reach the page to enter my information. So it looks like I had success. I was using my iPad and Chrome.
